My husband and I went to Dr. Tortora’s office, and while the front desk staff were professional, kind, and truly helpful, our experience with the doctor himself was very disappointing. Dr. Tortora came across as rushed and not thorough during our appointments. He told me I needed a crown for a cracked tooth - even though I had no pain or issues at the time. My husband was also told he needed a filling, which eventually led to a crown as well due to excessive and unnecessary drilling down of his tooth. Unfortunately, the dental work we received was poorly done. The dentist who worked on my husband’s tooth (a woman dentist who is no longer working there) shaved it down excessively, and after multiple visits, it was still not corrected. I had a terrible experience getting my crown put on. They drilled so much of my tooth and the temporary crown already had a hole in it by the NEXT day, causing me pain. When I asked them to cover it until the permanent crown was ready, I was told it would be too complicated to fix and to just wait it out. Even when I returned for the permanent crown, it was multiple visits of ongoing issues with the fit and discomfort. I ended up with jaw pain, an uneven bite, and sensitivity when chewing. A second opinion from another dentist confirmed that my crown was improperly fitted and had decay underneath—I had to have it redone not even a few months later. The only reason I’m giving any credit is because of the front desk team. They were understanding, professional and even helped issue a refund so I could get the work redone using my insurance benefits elsewhere. Dr. Tortora himself seemed tense and short, and the way he spoke to his staff made the atmosphere feel uncomfortable. I would not recommend this office for dental procedures beyond basic cleanings.

I needed a lot of help restoring my gums and teeth. I did extensive research looking for a good dentist as I had had a few bad experiences with previous dentists. After reading the amazing reviews about Dr Tortora and his team, I decided to give him a try. And I am so happy I did. He is a patient and empathetic dentist who takes his time and you never feel he rushes his time helping you. He explains at length his procedures and his work is excellent. Great for an anxious dental goer! His whole team, are amazing too, and very pleasant to speak with. I highly recommend him. 10 stars if I could!
